Matt Thompson, Founder of Driven Leadership Solutions, is a 20 year retired Navy Veteran. He attended the University of Oklahoma, receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Information Technology from the University of Maryland University College and an MBA from the Jack Welch Management Institute. He is currently pursuing his Doctorate in Project Management

He is a certified PMP and PMI-ACP professional instructor, who received his first teaching experience when he attended the Electronic Attack Weapons School where he became a qualified Prowler Tactics Instructor. He also more than 20 years of experience teaching students in all types of settings.

He has managed projects of all sizes, budgets, and schedule. With budgets as small as 5k up to more than 130 million, and reports varying from 3 up to 1100. With a large and varied background of Project Management Experience, he is an excellent trainer in delivering PMP and PMI-ACP content.

Tom Jones is a retired Army Veteran with more than 24-years of experience in project management.  He attended Texas A&M University, receiving a bachelor’s degree in Political Science.  Later, he attended graduate school at Eastern New Mexico University where he studied Communication.  He has a master’s degree in Management from Webster University, Graduate Certificate in Change Leadership from Cornell University and he completed the Veterans Advanced Management Program from the University of Texas – Austin, Red McCombs School of Business.

Tom first taught over 20 years ago after being selected for the Army’s Project Warrior Program. This consisted of two years of field leadership and operations consulting, followed by two years as a small group instructor with the Army Medical Department’s Officer Advanced Course.  Tom continued to field consult and teach various courses throughout the remainder of his career.   Since retiring from the Army, Tom has directly managed a variety of projects. He is currently working as a consultant where he assists companies with improving their project management by leading small groups to improve organizational processes, through classroom instruction, and individual, one-on-one coaching.

Tom is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), certified PMP Instructor, and has completed the Army’s Lean Six Sigma – Blackbelt Program.

Can Izgi has been teaching Project Management courses since 2005. Before starting his teaching career, he was a Project Manager in Turkcell, which is a telecommunication and technology services provider, founded and headquartered in Turkey. Some of the projects he managed include: IT infrastructure for credit card systems of banks, portal design, LAN and WAN systems, generic server platform for third party companies, vehicle location information system, and call center design for field technicians.

He is a member of PMI® since 2005. He holds an Authorized Training Partner Instructor certificate issued by PMI®. In addition, he holds the following certificates: Project Management Professional (PMP)®, PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)® and Professional Scrum Master™ I (PSM I).

He is one of the draft reviewers of the Software Extension to the PMBOK® Guide – Fifth Edition. In addition, he is one of the reviewers of the drafts for the fifth, sixth and seventh editions of A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge, (PMBOK® Guide).

He has a BS degree and an MS degree both in Electrical Engineering; with the BS degree from Bosphorus University, Turkey and the MS degree from Syracuse University, USA. He resides in Istanbul, Turkey with his wife and daughter. He enjoys playing the flute, origami and doing amateur performing arts.

Tabitha has been involved in the project management field for over 10 years. Having worked on projects across the globe, she found her home in the education field in 2012. She is a part time instructor at Humber College, Georgian College and a certified PMI^®-ATP Trainer with the US Firm – Driven Leadership Solutions. She has a master’s in project management from the Colorado State University and has an undergraduate degree in Computer Engineering. A PMP^® since 2013, she has held several roles in the college environment and is passionate about using technology to deliver content that speaks to every kind of learner.
